Empower, motivate & Invest In The Future of Ukrainian Children
THE NEED
War in Ukraine has paused normal operation of the country including its schools which are forced to only offer remote learning due to air raid sirens. Many Ukrainian children impacted by war were found not to have means to join the studies.
THE MOTIVATION
Having immigrated from Ukraine to the US in our teen years and having had the opportunity to receive world class education, we would like to help children in need to continue learning in the time of war. We hope that for the families whose stability has been shattered, it can be slowly regained once children are actively enrolled into schools.
OUR VISION
To create education opportunities for the children of Ukraine – to empower them, to motivate them and to invest in their future in the most fundamental way.
OUR MISSION
Friends of Chervonohrad works with schools in Chervonohrad, Ukraine, and with donors around the world to provide minimum requirement tablets to children in need to be able to enroll into remote learning amidst war. Mentorship on the focus and value of education during war time is provided alongside the tablets.
OUR PROCESS

PURCHASE
Currently there is no inventory of tablets in Ukraine and they are purchased through Amazon Poland.

TRANSPORT
Tablets are received by our colleagues in Poland and are transported to Chervonohrad by our close friends from Ukraine.

SET-UP
Tablets are set up to Ukrainian language by the High School student in Chervonohrad who was one of the first recipients.

CERTIFICATE
Certificate is produced with the donor’s, the benefactor’s and the school’s name on it emphasizing support for education.

RECEIPT
Each tablet is personally delivered to the student by a teacher who closely works with Friends of Chervonohrad.
